List of Problematic E-Numbers
Although all of the E-numbers listed here have been declared 'safe' by the regulatory authorities, independent studies have shown them to be implicated in having harmful affects on human health, in terms of allergic reactions and adverse affects on children. Some of them have been banned in the U.S. but are still permitted in Europe. Because it is very difficult to cut out all food additives from your diet, if you suspect you, or your children, are being adversely affected by them, here is a list of those that crop up again and again as being most problematic. These are the most important ones to avoid if you possibly can:
