The Truth About Food

Sometimes the truth about food is like the proverbial needle in the haystack! We can be overwhelmed by all the information in the media about what constitutes a 'healthy diet'. No sooner than one piece of scientific research is published, it is eclipsed by another. Many of these studies when analysed, actually contradict each other. Much of this is misleading and based on hidden agendas:-

  • Each agricultural sector wants to promote its own product and get us to buy it.
  • Government agencies want to promote overall governmental interests, which have more to do with protecting the business and farming economies, than with your desire to be able to eat healthily.
  • There is a never-ending stream of information about fad-diets and inventions of functional, or 'miracle' foodstuffs, much of it unfounded and promoted by those who seek to profit from it.
  • Much scientific research, even in universities, is funded by Big Business and therefore not independent. It is designed to give whatever results are required by the funders.
  • Individual consumers do not have as strong a voice as other vested interests as our democracies become weakened by political donations paid by industry.

As a result, there is a lot of mis-information out there that is pushing a particular agenda. The truth about food is hard to find because much information in the media is promoted by vested interests. In the midst of all this, the simple facts are being lost to us because there is so little information that serves the interests of individual consumers, like you and me, who wish to eat healthily and to feed our families healthy, natural food. There is nobody to truly, independently, protect the health interests of those individual consumers when it comes to what we eat. As one of those individuals, who is also a parent, I have, over the years, sifted through all of this information and mis-information and sorted out, for myself, how I wanted to eat, as part of my holistic lifestyle.

Not everybody has the time, or the interest to do what I did. Instead, you can shortcut your way to healthy eating, by using this website, which contains the knowledge I have built up over the years and the practical ways which worked for me, in my quest for healthy eating. I will provide clear, unbiased, information to help you.

My promise to you, my readers, is that I will always tell you the truth about food, as I see it, independently and beholden to nobody!
